I love cooking with essential oils! They add a pop of flavour you just can't get from dried herbs - and they are totally natural! Peppermint brownies are one of my favourite holiday treats to give as gifts. If you want to get fancy you can crush candy canes to sprinkle on top - or make a chocolate mint frosting - totally up to you. Just make sure you only use Young Living Plus+ oils (if you live in Canada) or the Vitality oils (if you are in the USA) because they are safe to ingest because they are so freaking amazing quality!

PEPPERMINT BROWNIES
1/2 cup organic salted butter
225 grams organic semi sweet chocolate chips + 1 cup more
3/4 cups organic sugar or coconut sugar
1/2 cup organic unbleached flour
1/4 cup organic brown sugar (or just add 2 tsp molasses)
3 organic eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp organic cocoa powder
4-5 drops Young Living Peppermint+ (or Vitality) essential oil
Method: Melt butter and chocolate chips. Let cool off the burner. Whisk all the sugar into the chocolate mixture. Add 3 eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Add essential oil. Fold in the flour, salt and cocoa powder. Mix the 1 cup of chocolate chips with 1 Tbsp flour and mix into the batter.
Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes.
